Field Notes – Day 47, Terra Chromatis Expedition
“The ice has finally loosened its grip, and as the glacier’s hold retreated, whole valleys unfurled in a blaze of color – crystalline outcrops gleaming, veined through with rainbow prisms that catch even the faintest light. The ground here feels alive, freshly washed, as if grief itself melted and seeded minerals into every pore of the soil. Strange, delicate plants with glasslike petals have already taken root, feeding on the rich sediment. I cannot help but think: pain has carved this beauty, and I am merely a witness to its resilience.”
