Diana de Avila is a neuroaesthetic digital artist based in Sarasota, Florida. Her practice began in 2017 with the sudden onset of acquired savant syndrome, which brought shapes and colors she felt compelled to translate onto computer screens and her iPad, with no formal art training. Pattern, geometry, rhythm, color and motion became her visual language, and she has since taught herself fractal, generative and augmented reality techniques, building compositions that feel both mathematical and organic. Her work explores galactic, mathematical and scientific themes alongside spiritual inquiry and a continuing study of color and movement, with the aim of offering visual structures that support calm, grounding and sensory restoration. A former U.S. Army military police officer who also worked in web architecture, she brings systems thinking and precision to this work. In 2026, she founded SEED Foundry, an experimental studio that extends her practice into interactive experiences, mobile games and creative tools.
Her work is part of permanent installations at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (with augmented reality), the Virginia War Memorial and the Treffert Library, and has been placed in corporate settings including Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Pfizer and Tampa International Airport. Her motion artwork was also presented for violinist Caroline Campbell’s performance of “Kashmir” in Miami. She has been featured in Science Times and Psychology Today and in the short documentary The Color of Genius, and received Second Place at the International Society of Experimental Artists’ Making Our Marks exhibition in 2025.

Gold meets disruption. The pattern holds together for a moment, then interference gets a say in what happens next.
