Matteo Ferralasco is an award-winning graphic designer and digital artist based in Vancouver, Canada. His work explores transformation, memory, and visual rhythm through branding, motion design, typography, photography, and AI-assisted image-making. Through Studio Ferralasco, he creates hyperreal visual sequences that turn familiar subjects into evolving digital studies. His ongoing series include Digital Metamorphosis, focused on nature and animals, and Kinetica, focused on man-made objects, both using repetition, motion, photographic composition, and cinematic pacing to create hypnotic visual narratives. Drawing from branding, editorial design, advertising, photography, and contemporary digital culture, Ferralasco’s practice sits between graphic design, moving image, and experimental visual art. His work often uses black backgrounds, precise composition, and poetic text fragments to create pieces that feel both minimal and emotionally charged. His current work expands into motion graphics, typography, AI-assisted visual systems, and brand-focused creative direction, with a focus on creating memorable digital artworks for social platforms, commercial collaborations, and screen-based environments.
This creative excellence has been recognized with a particularly prestigious list of accolades. In 2024, his forward-thinking approach was honored with the highly selective RGD Trailblazer Award, along with awards for Augmented Creativity and Retail Design, as well as several honorable mentions in brand design and color theory at the RGD and Salazar Awards. This upward trajectory confirms the success of 2023, already marked by major wins in Video & Motion at the Salazar Awards, the prestigious DesignThinkers scholarship, and an award in Storytelling.

Sea Stars is part of Digital Metamorphosis, an ongoing series of hypnotic digital motion works exploring nature, transformation, and consciousness. Combining isolated natural forms, poetic text fragments, and slow visual rhythm against a black background, the series creates meditative moving portraits that invite reflection on perception, interiority, and the fragile dialogue between the natural world and the human mind.
