Saeko Ehara is a Kirakira (sparkling) artist and VJ based in Tokyo. Her works mainly treat the representation of Kirakira motifs such as jewels and flowers. Her inspiration comes from memories of her childhood, where Kirakira stickers, acrylic jewels, small glassworks and illustrated books of flowers form the starting point of her creations. Through her works, she would love to make the world full of Kirakira.
Saeko Ehara has exhibited and shown her work internationally, whether at concert halls and arenas in her work as a VJ, or in art shows such as CADAF New York, Crypto Art Week Asia, and REFRACTION 02, to name a few. She has exhibited in Tokyo, New York, Dubai, London, Los Angeles and more.

‘Classical Ladies’ is inspired by one of my favorite paintings, 'Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I' by Gustav Klimt. The images are all created by Midjourney (AI) and analog video effects are made with TouchDesigner (a software for visual coding). I think it is interesting research to create something nostalgic and classical with the latest technology. I started my artistic practice with oil painting and this work is an important exploration combining analog and digital experiences.
