Saeko Ehara is a Kirakira (sparkling) artist and VJ based in Tokyo. Her works mainly treat the representation of Kirakira motifs such as jewels and flowers. Her inspiration comes from memories of her childhood, where Kirakira stickers, acrylic jewels, small glassworks and illustrated books of flowers form the starting point of her creations. Through her works, she would love to make the world full of Kirakira.
Saeko Ehara has exhibited and shown her work internationally, whether at concert halls and arenas in her work as a VJ, or in art shows such as CADAF New York, Crypto Art Week Asia, and REFRACTION 02, to name a few. She has exhibited in Tokyo, New York, Dubai, London, Los Angeles and more.

ʻRainbow Specimens’ consists of 7 images. According to the title, the 7 colors come from the rainbow. ʻMemory’ is a key word in this work. Thousands of threads stretch around each piece, which are a metaphor for neurons in the brain. The jewels represent shining memories. Seven motifs in the artworks are randomly selected from my favorite memories. They are just everyday things but also precious moments. By recreating my fondest memories in the artwork, they are preserved in a beautiful appearance forever.
