This collection explores the concept of extraterrestrial life forms with the artificial neural networks. Evanescent flowers vanish and transform into each other without following our earthly rules. In a different universe, under a different sun the flora shines in the radioactive light.
The visuals were generated by training a Generative Adversarial Network on a collection of 3078 macro photographs of flowers shot in May through July, 2021. The images were all custom processed with hue and solarization effects.
This work is a collaboration with California based photographer Janie Fitzgerald.
