Katherine Robinson is a British-born photographer and visual artist based in Madrid, Spain. She creates her art by photographing the architecture, skylines and nature found in her neighbourhood - and other worldwide cities - and animating the photographs to create a chaotic moving landscape with dream-like elements. She gives everyone the opportunity to escape reality by twisting everyday objects, buildings and landscapes.
Windows - which conceal hundreds of hidden stories - light vs darkness, clouds and brutalist architecture are recurring themes in her work. She hopes to encourage viewers to see beauty in their everyday surroundings and look for the little details that would otherwise go unnoticed.

I’ve always been fascinated by windows - each one a frame holding its own quiet story, a world of hopes and dreams tucked behind the glass. With this series, I wanted to capture that sense of layered life - all those unseen stories unfolding at once within a single, confined space. The notion of sonder - the profound realization that every person is living a life as vivid, complex, and filled with personal stories as your own.
