This is an interpretation of Van Gogh's work, particularly his exploration of the importance of the symbolism of colours and simplicity in his bedroom, as opposed to his inner landscapes.
Through a subrealist interpretation using modern techniques such as studio-photographed acrylic paint and digital animation, it highlights how art can evolve while remaining anchored in its foundations. The idea of the black pixel as a point of meditation is particularly representative of this collection, as it encourages reflection on the duality between chaos and harmony, light and dark.
This contemporary approach offers another spectrum of interpretation and understanding of Van Gogh but also questions the way in which art can adapt to each person's personal experiences. By connecting elements of modern life to classical masterpieces, I propose to highlight the ongoing dialogue between different eras and cultures. This will show, I hope, because this is my underlying point, that art, whether traditional or modern, has the potential to transcend time and generate profound reflections on human existence. This dynamic really invites us to explore the works in a new way, thus ensuring that the legacy of great masters like Van Gogh remains alive and relevant.
