Jonas Ersland (Norway, 1991) is a digital artist based in Berlin. With a background in programming as well as traditional videography, his work is located in the intersection between the analogue and the digital, using scenes from the ordinary which is then translated to a digital space through custom software. In his work process he constantly switches between the physical and the digital, looking for conceptual or narrative forms of logic hidden in the ordinary which can only be observed through digital means. The result is a body of work exploring the ‘digital supernormal’.
Jonas' work has been exhibited internationally with the likes of Cadaf Digital Art Fair, Paris, DEMO Festival, Amsterdam, the Istanbul Design Biennale, and more. He has also had solo shows in Oslo, Stavanger, Berlin and Copenhagen.

Centerpoint is an ongoing video series exploring human beings in public spaces. In this series, we observe scenes of regular people going on with their day while their environment turns around them. Through the contrast between the subject and the exaggerated world they occupy, the video series highlights our own individual roles in a constantly changing world.
