After studying art and communication in Lausanne, Andréa Philippon works as a full-time freelance 3D designer. He draws inspiration from nature, plants, mushrooms, ceramics, and architecture, which he combines with a dedicated practice of personal photography: he enjoys going out to photograph whatever inspires him in the moment, particularly plants and flowers. His evolving series Digital Garden reflects this obsession with living things: through a procedural system, he creates constantly evolving digital specimens, combining digital proceduralism, photography, photogrammetry, and digital painting to blur the line between the scanned reality and the modeled imagination. He champions an organic, vibrant, and futuristic aesthetic, where each animation becomes a tribute to the energy and grace of nature.
His unique approach has led him to collaborate with artists such as David Guetta and Björk, notably on the music video and album trailer for Fossora, produced with the agency M/M Paris, as well as Black Coffee, and with prestigious brands including Adidas, Salomon, ESPN, PlayStation, Motorola, L'Occitane, Mulberry, and Zara Home. His works have been exhibited in Paris, Tokyo, Shanghai, Barcelona, Copenhagen, and Kazan, notably at NFT Paris, the Constellations Festival in Metz, on the screens of ShibuyaTV in Tokyo, as well as at the Nur Festival in Kazan, Russia, at LYNfabrikken in Denmark, and at the Load Gallery in Barcelona. His work has also been featured in publications such as StirWorld, Visual Atelier 8, and Red Eye World, as well as in Valérie Belmokhtar’s book Au cœur du vivant.

The artist invites us to a journey into a world of futuristic digital plants, all more fantastic, complex and surreal than the others. A world that he sees as a possible reality. For him, plants are the most resilient and intelligent form of life on earth. They help regulate the climate, feed off the sun's energy, live in symbiosis with other species in a subtle way and preserve their habitats. They offer us a multitude of fragrances, a wealth of colors and infinite forms that delight our senses and revive our emotions.
It is therefore a digital reproduction of this breathtaking nature that the artist proposes to us, which gives us the opportunity to question the place we make for it today.
