Rodzombie focuses on the creation, direction, and production of audiovisual content for advertising agencies in Mexico. His practice is deeply influenced by the visual culture and design language of the 1990s and 2000s, which he revisits through the creation of 3D environments built from pixel-art-inspired simulations. Drawing on nostalgic atmospheres as a foundation, he develops a retro aesthetic infused with a subtle sense of modernity. His works are distinguished by meticulously crafted fluid simulations, in which pixels dissolve into satisfying, lifelike flows of water.
Driven by curiosity and constant learning, Rodzombie approaches digital creation as an exploratory process, using simulation as a means to recompose memory, texture, and space. His work reflects an ongoing dialogue between past visual languages and contemporary tools, where technical experimentation supports an intuitive, image-led practice shaped by movement, travel, and an openness to new visual territories.

RodZombie reconstructs iconic visual landmarks through a distinctive pixel-based, retro lens. His works manage to combine the familiar and nostalgic with the virtual and fantastic. Here, the inside of a subway train is transformed into an otherworldly scene as carefully crafted water floods in, both beautiful and daunting.
