Hannes Hummel is an interdisciplinary designer and digital artist based in Cologne, Germany, specializing in 3D animation. His many projects deal with the intersection between new technologies and traditional design professions. Guided by an exploratory approach to design, Hannes is constantly looking for new forms of creative expression. Through interdisciplinary work undertaken on his own initiative, he constantly develops and redefines his visual style. His works express a refined search for a modern aesthetic applied to still life scenarios, whose meticulous technique suggests that the work is a real video capture. Hannes' recent creations explore the mathematical and symmetrical rules of complex organic structures, bringing hypnotic works to life.
Hannes has received numerous awards (such as Design Made In Germany, Games for Change Europe, New media Awards, A MAZE.Berlin, etc.) and his work has been the subject of numerous major exhibitions. (Art Basel Miami, Contemporary Calgary, Autodesk Exhibition, Print Screen Festival, Stroke Art Fair, NFT Liverpool, etc.). He has also collaborated with prestigious brands such as Nike, Addidas, Sony Japan and media such as Vice Magazine, Wired Magazine, Quanta Magazine and many others. Hannes was a lecturer at the Köln International School of Design from 2017 to 2018 and at the Technische Universität Braunschweig from 2017 to 2019. He recently created Bloom, a collective of designers made up of some of the most creative talents in the NFT industry, defending the highest levels of quality, integrity and diversity.

The animated artwork Automa Cavaliere, created by Hannes Hummel, is a digital, speculative reconstruction of the Renaissance's lost robot and workshop. Hidden within the artwork is a detailed blueprint that represents the artist's reinterpretation of the Automa Cavaliere. The various elements of this intricate scene are crafted using contemporary methods — extruded mathematical shapes, high-poly 3D scans, and AI-generated illustrations based on original sketches from the Italian polymath. These elements are meticulously arranged to depict Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci's exploration of natural law and applied mechanics during a warm summer's evening.
