Fabian Aerts is a Belgian digital artist and director whose work explores the tension between living forms, human presence, and impossible landscapes. Through moving images and sculptural visual worlds, he creates fragile realities where bodies, ecosystems, and matter seem to mutate, merge, or drift away from their original form. His practice often questions identity, transformation, memory, and desire, using human figures, organic structures, and speculative environments as vessels for emotional and psychological states. Between beauty and unease, intimacy and strangeness, his works invite viewers to contemplate worlds that feel at once familiar, unstable, and profoundly other.
Working as an independent creative director, motion designer, and 3D artist, Aerts has collaborated with studios including Elastic, MediaMonks, Trizz, Laundry, Psyop, Unit Motion, Helmut, and Tendril, on projects for clients such as Adobe, Netflix, Xbox, Dell, Biotherm, Olay, AMC, Longines, and Experian. His work has been featured on Motionographer, Behance, Stash, and Vimeo, among others.

VESTIGES evokes the transient nature of desire and the fragile architectures of temporary intimacy. The work lingers on forms of connection that briefly appease, without fully anchoring us, leaving behind only traces, residues and unfinished gestures.
The WHAT WILL REMAIN OF US series explores the persistence of human bonds beyond presence, body and time. Through a series of symbolic figures, the work questions what remains after intimacy has faded, after memory has shifted, after love has taken different forms. Each piece evokes a fragment of attachment, desire, devotion or solitude, suggesting that what we leave behind may not be our image, but the emotional imprint we inscribe in others.
