LFHCS is a self-taught digital artist whose practice has been shaped by a lifelong fascination with space, science fiction, and the optimistic visions of the future that defined American visual culture in the 1960s and 70s. Working intuitively in Photoshop through collage techniques, vintage colour palettes, film grain, and atmospheric lighting, he constructs imagined worlds, distant planets, and civilizations yet to come. The feeling he's chasing across his work is what he calls "future nostalgia": the strange pull of feeling nostalgic for places, times, and experiences that never actually existed. Travel feeds the practice too, working its way into compositions consciously or otherwise.
LFHCS has been making digital art since childhood, returning to it seriously during COVID after years away, and has since built a following on Instagram entirely by accident. His work has been used for book covers, album covers, and music posters for both independent creators and larger artists.

The moon has long served as a symbol of time, change and renewal. Phases explores the idea that growth rarely happens all at once, but through countless small transformations that often go unnoticed. Just as the night sky is constantly changing while appearing timeless, so are we.
