Sasha Sokolov is an audiovisual artist working with sound, light, and data. A single logic runs through his practice: a signal oscillating between order and randomness, applied to two different kinds of material. In the installations the material is synthetic, made of 3D-printed objects, lasers, screens, and ambisonic sound, forming closed systems that run on their own regardless of the viewer. In the audiovisual works the material is the world itself. Photogrammetric scans of trees, streets, and remembered places are moved by the same signal between recognition and abstraction.
Sasha was recently presented at Ars Electronica Festival 2025, with Antinomy, an Immersive Dance Performance, combining contemporary dance with generated visual art and video. He was also presented at Core Underground 2025.

This black-and-white audiovisual work orchestrates a hypnotic dialogue between organic chaos and mathematical precision. Through the use of photogrammetry, a captured space dissolves into a nebula of point clouds. The vector lines and red anchors, like dynamic constellations, attempt to map and hold onto this constantly shifting visual matter, suspended in the digital void.
