Ashkan Galehdari (b. 1988, Tehran, Iran) is a digital artist from Amsterdam, Netherlands. His work is inspired by the cultural heritage of the East, with a focus on the vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and spiritual symbolism that are prevalent in Eastern art. His goal is to explore the intersection of Eastern culture and digital art, combining traditional elements with modern technology to create work that is both grounded in tradition and innovative.
Ashkan believes that the integration of Eastern culture and digital art has the potential to bridge cultural divides and promote a deeper understanding of different cultures. His work also reflects how technology can provide new perspectives on traditional art. He experiments with different techniques and mediums in his digital art, creating new forms that can be shared with a wider audience.

The following collection is the result of an activity that I started on ancient Persian motifs in 2016, and continues to these days. I was looking to build a bridge between the past and the present. I selected forms and motifs of different periods of Persian Empire, each of them carries simple and complex concepts.
I used pottery vessels as the most primitive man-made objects to convey these messages in my work. Pottery vessels were one of the most widely used objects in the daily life of our ancestors. They also used it as means of conveying messages and portraying their daily beliefs and stories. This growing project is just a part of my adventures in this mysterious world. This is a study, research, and art project which examines ancient motifs and beliefs and how they find their way into different cultures and civilizations.
