Francesco Misceo is a multidisciplinary artist born in 1997 in Modena, Italy, whose practice blends experimental contemporary dance, digital arts, and new media. Trained as a professional dancer at the Peridance Center in New York in partnership with La Capriola Centro Danza in Modena, Francesco Misceo also honed his expertise in graphic design and visual arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. This dual training has shaped a unique artistic methodology, in which choreography is not limited to movement but explores the interactions between the human body, space-time, and digital tools to create a visual and sensory poetry where play and imagination become universal languages. His work aims to repurpose contemporary technologies, transforming them into creative partners rather than mere tools. In this way, he transforms the stage into a dynamic ecosystem, where the audience is invited to participate in an immersive and interactive experience.
Francesco Misceo has been the winner of the 2025 Videocittà Awards (“Creator” Award in Rome). He has also made a name for himself with interactive installations such as “Mixed Realities” (Art City × Plug Radio, Bologna) and “Beyond The Echo” (Nxt Museum × Rosewood, Amsterdam). His works have been exhibited in Times Square (New York), at Art Basel Miami (Trippy Lab Exhibition), and at the Constellations Festival in Metz, where he fused performance and multimedia. He has also collaborated with renowned companies such as Aterballetto (Roberto Tedesco), MN Dance Company (Slovenia), and Peridance Contemporary Dance Company (New York). His appearances at TEDx Bologna and Motion Plus Design Tokyo confirm his status as a committed and visionary artist, while his participation in competitions such as Juste Debout USA and The Kings of New York attest to his deep roots in the experimental and urban dance scenes.
