Tahn (Taeyoung Ahn) explores the boundaries between tradition and modernity, expressing Korean folk tales, mythology, and philosophical narratives through the medium of contemporary media art. His work delves into the intersection of time and space, humans and nature, tradition and technology, offering viewers innovative visual experiences. By blending elements from the past, present, and future, he creates immersive encounters through two-dimensional paintings, installation media, and interactive art. Tahn's artistic philosophy is rooted in "creating new perspectives by exploring human existence in spaces where the past, present, and future coexist." Through his work, he aims to inspire and resonate with audiences, inviting them to reflect on the interconnectedness of these dimensions.
Media artist based in the UK and Korea, selected as one of the top 50 new media artists in the world at the International New Media Art Festival in Lisbon in 2020, Tahn was selected as an artist for the 170th anniversary exhibition of the Royal West of England Academy in 2023 and the 100th anniversary of Visual art Scotland in 2024.

In this era defined by the emergence of the digital generation and the rise of generative AI, the methods of art are undergoing various changes. These changes go beyond the mere emergence of new technologies. This reflects the changing paradigm in human perception and creation. This work mixes thousands of years of human experience into a single digital canvas and serves as a new form of expression for artistic development and evolution. This work, which applies GAN (Generative Adversarial Network) technology, directly captures and edits a certain place and a certain time of 'Jeju Island'. In addition to these existing artistic methods, it utilizes the power of algorithms to reconstruct the landscape and infuse supernatural wonder and possibility I put it in. The data used in the work collects the number of visitors to Gotjawal Provincial Park by year from 2011 to 2024, when it was designated as Jeju Gotjawal Provincial Park, and analyzes the number of tourists visiting Jeju with big data to display various correlations. It is one work. Through this fusion of classic themes and cutting-edge technology, this work allows audiences to think about what it means to truly see and experience the world around us and its paradigm shifts
