Camila Nogueira is a Portuguese digital artist, born and based in Porto. Trained in the visual arts, with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Design (Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Porto) and a master’s degree in Animation and Illustration, she decided in 2015 to devote herself to freelance illustration, drawing on a Wacom tablet. Her artistic universe blends real architecture with surrealist elements inspired by nature to create colorful worlds she would love to inhabit: landscapes, cities, and scenes bathed in golden light, with pastel hues accented by vivid pinks. Influenced by Franco-Belgian comics (Tintin, Asterix, Giraud/Moebius’s Blueberry), Japanese prints, 1990s cartoons, and the world of Studio Ghibli, she also draws inspiration from nature, trees, and animals. Through her artworks, Camila casts a dreamlike gaze upon life: while existence is a beautiful mystery punctuated by difficult moments, her visual narratives reveal its brighter side.
Over the years, she has developed commercial projects and collaborated with major international brands, while still making time for her personal artistic practice. Notably, she was invited by Sandeman to reinterpret the world of the Porto winehouse to complement a new, more modern and urban brand identity, and has also designed album covers. Her work has been featured in Creative Bloom.

In my incessant search for the harmony between the unreal and the ordinary, and the reconciliation between Man and Nature, fantasy is king.
Amongst the urban chaos, a magic garden nested deep within the realms of a Dreamland is waiting to be explored.
This is my homage to Nature, where I go seek tranquility and peace every time I get exhausted from the “concrete jungle” that surrounds me.
With my visual narratives, I aspire to take you to the beauty side and make you look at the world through a dreamier lens.
Just like in the ancient traditions of the East, I place nature in the spotlight as this magical being that deserves to be venerated, and everyday life as something worth cherishing and whose smallest details should not be ignored.
My inspiration springs from a diverse well, including traditional Japanese woodblock prints, cartoons I used to watch as a kid, Studio Ghibli animations, Franco-Belgian comic books, street art culture, and, of course, Nature.
As you explore, remember that the extraordinary is often hidden in the ordinary, and the magic of Nature is ever-present.
Dive headfirst into this fantasy realm, lose yourself in the intricate details, and let your imagination run free.
This piece is the fourth piece of my DreamCatcher animated series, where I take you for a ride into my little Paradise, one piece at a time.
