At the intersection of art and crypto, Booyasan skilfully blends timeless aesthetics with digital horizons. The artist's signature style rests upon the voxel - this single data point on a three dimensional grid that represents both pixel and building block - the ideal medium to combine both digital and sculptural practices. Drawing inspiration from classical masterpieces, he reinvents their essence in a contemporary context, while exploring the innovative potential of digital art. Many of the artist's work also references cryptocurrencies and Web3 culture, taking on neon, cyberpunk hues, or integrating images from some of the most mediatised NFT projects, such as Bored Ape Yacht Club, Cryptopunks, or the Bitcoin and Ethereum cryptocurrency symbols. His bold approach opens up new artistic avenues, creating a dialogue between eras and technologies. More recently, the artist has also been exploring unexpected and humorous uses of AI into his practice.

Booyasan has been exhibited at NFT Paris at the Grand Palais Éphémère, IHAM Gallery, the NFT Factory, and the Korean Cultural Centre in Paris, amongst others. He has collaborated with leading digital artists such as Trevor Jones.

"The End of the Bull Market" is a piece that delves into the intersection of ancient symbolism, contemporary finance, and artistic expression. With the use of 3D design and AI technologies, I have crafted a visually captivating composition that oscillates between the timeless beauty of classical sculpture and the intense energy reminiscent of Picasso's masterpiece, "Guernica."

In this artwork, the focal point is a Roman figure engaged in a powerful act: slaying a bull with a sword shaped like a dollar symbol. It serves as a metaphor for the culmination of a bullish market, symbolizing the end of a period of economic growth and prosperity. By merging historical references with modern financial imagery, I aim to highlight the cyclical nature of markets and the inevitable shifts in economic trends.

Through the amalgamation of classical and contemporary influences, I seek to provoke deeper contemplation and dialogue. The intermittent classical aesthetic evokes a sense of timelessness, drawing parallels between historical narratives and the present-day financial landscape. On the other hand, the echoes of "Guernica" inject a fragmented and dissonant quality, alluding to underlying tensions and disruptions amidst the market's decline.

By harnessing the power of 3D design and AI technologies, I aim to push the boundaries of artistic expression and invite viewers to engage with my work on multiple levels. The fusion of classical sculpture, financial symbolism, and artistic references sparks introspection about the intricate connections between history, finance, and societal transformations.

Generative art

AI

3D
3D art uses 3D software such as Blender, Cinema4D, Houdini, or video game software such as Unity to create works of art. In 3D works, artists can either arrange assets (the 'objects' in a 3D artwork or world) that they have created themselves or purchased from other creators to create elaborate environments and scenes (an approach to 3D art called 'set dressing'), or specialize in sculpting, which involves creating their own objects and assets.
Photogrammetry
Photogrammetry is a specialized 3D technique that allows 3D objects to be created from numerous photographs taken of an object or scene from multiple angles. These photos are then compiled to determine the specific positioning, shape, and dimensions of the object in space, and then converted into a 3D model. Initially developed for engineering and urban planning, photogrammetry has become a way for artists to produce extremely accurate 3D models from real-life images.
Collage
An extension of the traditional, plastic approach to collage, digital collage involves searching for and cutting out multiple images, extracting them from their original context, and recomposing them in a new arrangement to create a work of art. Artists can use their own photographs or find images on the internet.
Illustration
Digital illustrations are created using software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Procreate. As with drawing on paper, the artist uses a stylus to sketch a figure or object, usually on a tablet, to construct a scene or artistic universe. Unlike traditional drawing methods, digital illustration is much more forgiving, as mistakes can be easily corrected and drawn elements and objects can be easily moved around within a scene.
Video
Video artworks primarily use a recording camera, but may sometimes include additional post-processing or editing to distort, modify or add additional elements to the image. Some artists use state-of-the-art recording equipment to create macro zoom-ins or time lapses, privileging fidelity to the subject matter. Others use additional softwares to significantly modify or warp the video, creating an alternative perspective on the world that surrounds us.
