In his work, Frederik critically examines the radical changes that technology imposes on society and our environment, sometimes on the technology side, often in the conceptual, perceptive, sensory and human domains. In this case, he chose to focus on insects, which create the biological basis of all terrestrial ecosystems. 

In the creation of the AI BEETLE series, he pays tribute to insects, especially the Siamese rhinoceros beetle, working on their aesthetics and their vital character. This scarab obtained through artificial intelligence delights lovers of art, nature but also technology.
