Marinel Sheu is a digital artist from Albania, currently based in Dublin, Ireland. His artistic journey began at age 14 with Photoshop, and over the years he has explored a variety of mediums to develop a rich and personal visual language. Deeply inspired by Japanese and European artists like Katsuhiro Otomo, David Hockney, Moebius, Hiroshi Nagai, and Eijin Suzuki, Marinel blends futuristic city-pop aesthetics with the warmth and familiarity of Mediterranean and European culture. His work draws from his childhood memories in Albania and his travels around the Mediterranean, merging nostalgia with a refined graphic sensibility.
Now a full-time artist with over ten years of experience, Marinel has collaborated with global brands such as Gucci, Disney, Netflix, NBC, and Vice, and has worked alongside figures like Daniel Arsham and Nabil. His ongoing projects include The Mediterranean Life, which celebrates summer in the Mediterranean; Green Shower Thoughts, a cinematic series paired with introspective quotes; and Streets of Éire, a tribute to the streets of Ireland. Marinel actively shares his work on social media, where he has cultivated a strong international community of collectors and admirers. Looking ahead, he aims to expand his creative horizons beyond graphic and illustrative design, exploring automotive, industrial, interior, and fashion design.
