<div>This work was composed from moving images from the Saddleback Sublime video.  During a summer storm at 100F above Saddleback Butt in the Mojave desert, the artist took several hundred images that he gathered here.  This work was presented for the first time in 2019, at the 58th Venice Biennale, from May 8 to June 4, 2019, at the Palazzo Pesaro Papafava Calle de la Racheta, 3764, 30121 Venezia VE, with the Caroline Wiseman Gallery for the exhibition: Living in the Universe, Big Bang.<br></div>

We contact artists based on a set of criteria that can range from exhibition history, educational background, technical excellence, conceptual rigour, social media presence, institutional engagement, and often a combination of all of these.

How are the artworks curated?

If you are an artist and are interested in exhibiting with us, you can fill out [this Typeform](https://a0nuxyynmjw.typeform.com/to/ZuAoCIkG). Enter your name, artist biography, and links to your social media accounts and portfolio so that we can get a good understanding of your practice and what you do! Think about what makes you stand out as an artist, and share this with us in your application. We recommend you take a look at our roster of existing artists and exhibition locations, so that you have a feel of what we do and can create the best application possible. :) Good luck!

How can I apply to join Artpoint as an artist?

You may sell your NFT on any marketplace that complies with the NFT's technological standard (ETH standard) and the included Metadata such as the License and Artist identification. Following such a sale or transfer, you will cease to have any further rights to that NFT.

How can I resell my NFT?

If you want to buy an NFT, click on collect now and then connect your metamask waller. Make sure you sign the contract and have sufficient funds.

How do I buy using Metamask?

To create an account, you simply need to click on join the community (link) or sign in and you’ll be able to choose if you want to connect using your email address or your metamask wallet. If you choose to use your email address, a connexion link will be sent to you by email. Be careful, the link expires.

How do I create an account?

Although the blockchain as a technology itself is secure and extremely difficult to hack, there are still instances of scamming and fraudulent behaviour in the web3 space, and collectors can lose their NFTs or crypto due to human error or deception. It is therefore extremely important to remain vigilant and stay safe in the NFT space! As a rule, **never** click on suspicious links or files sent from people you don’t know. This is one of the most common ways people get scammed in web3. When participating in NFT communities on Discord, always close your direct messages to reduce these kinds of scams. Team members from ARTPOINT will **never** message you first on Discord. Many experienced NFT traders and collectors make a habit of creating at least two or more wallets. One of these is called a ‘hot wallet’, which is the active wallet where you make most of your transactions and sign smart contracts with in order to buy, sell and trade NFTs. This wallet should contain only the minimal amount of crypto necessary to complete your NFT purchase. Once you have minted an NFT with your hot wallet, you can transfer it (this will cost gas fees) to your ‘cold wallet’, which is used more as a storage space for your NFT collection and cryptocurrencies. This wallet should never sign transactions or smart contracts, in order to keep your collection as safe as possible. Lastly, when you have a lot of crypto or own valuable NFTs, the most secure storage method is to buy a hardware wallet, such as a Ledger. These operate much like a cold wallet, but with an added technocological security measure, making it almost impossible to hack. This is by far the most secure way of storing your valuable NFTs.

How do I secure my NFT?

In the vein of exhibiting in public spaces and democratising access to digital art, we have a network of clients in the hotel industry, luxury retail, gaming, co-working spaces, and more, that double as our exhibition spaces. These clients can either access the ARTPOINT gallery to select the artists and artworks they would like to exhibit on a monthly basis, or the ARTPOINT curatorial team provides a monthly selection based on theme, technique, or the brand identity, emotions or messages the clients wish to portray.

How do the Artpoint exhibitions work?

A crypto wallet is a software on your computer or phone that allows for the sale and storage of cryptocurrencies, which are most commonly used to acquire NFTs. There are multiple cryptowallets available, but MetaMask and WalletConnect are two of the main applications that people use to create their wallets.

‘Gas fees’ refer to an amount that must be paid each time a transaction or transfer is conducted on the blockchain. These fees are paid directly to Ethereum miners who validate transactions on the blockchain and make them possible. Gas fees vary in price throughout the day, depending on the volume of activity currently being effectuated on the chain - so don’t be surprised if you see the fee amount changing! NFT platforms, including ARTPOINT, do not profit from or receive any of these fees.

Here at ARTPOINT, creating a loyal and passionate collectorship of digital art is extremely important to us. We want to create a community of digital art lovers that are passionate about this unique artistic medium, and want to build with us to see digital art thrive in both the traditional art world and in the web3 space. Collectors of ARTPOINT benefit from various rewards and utilities. Our main and unique offering at ARTPOINT is creating exhibitions of digital art and NFTs in the real world, in public spaces such as hotels, companies, luxury retail centres, and more. Collectors are invited to the openings of the exhibitions ARTPOINT curates, have the opportunity to meet their favourite artists, and will receive visuals of their artworks exhibited in public spaces to share amongst their communities. On top that, collectors can earn ARTPOINT coins, which can be used to vote on key decisions such as curatorial choices for the next ARTPOINT NFT drop, or can be exchanged for discounts on future artwork acquisitions. Lastly, due to our robust network of clients in spaces such as hotels, we provide rewards such as spa days, access to co-working spaces, or free beverages and refreshments at hotel bars.

What does it mean to be a part of our community?

The blockchain is a decentralised, permanent, transparent and publicly accessible ledger of data, that records crypto transactions, including those of NFTs. Blockchain technology rests on the principles of transparency, immutability and they are permissionless, which means that they are strengthened and secured by the number of people and data that are accumulated. There is therefore no need for a central body to authenticate the information displayed.

NFTs are non-interchangeable and non-modifiable units of data stored on the blockchain that can be sold or transferred to other people. This technology allows for a transparent vision on who owns the digital asset, and what the provenance or previous sales and transactions of the asset are.
