Originally from the Parisian region, Julien Raffin is a multidisciplinary and international artist whose work combines historical and cultural references that set us apart from our contemporary era. Using paper collage and photography as a medium, his work offers a poetic and dynamic vision of the moment when color and black and white reveal in a contrasting and sometimes critical way the markers of our time. Julien wishes to make art inclusive and accessible to all.
Julien learned collage in his free time to stimulate curiosity, open up new perspectives and connect people. Building on the success of his creations, Julien’s work is defended by the Underdogs Gallery in Lisbon. In partnership with the NFT platform Ephemeral Ethernal, Julien exhibited his works at the famous Non-Fungible Conference in Lisbon on April 5, 2022. The artist also completed a large-scale street art project in Lisbon, creating a mural composition as part of the Underdogs public art programme, challenging artists to create works that raise awareness of climate change and sustainability.
