C2N
The Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (C2N) sought to collaborate with a digital artist and create an artwork that celebrates its activity and highlights its identity, projects, equipment, along with the people who make up the C2N. The project also aimed to showcase the quantum transport room linked to the nanoelectronics department, a source of great pride for the C2N, along with the themes that are essential to its identity. Scientific research, by definition, strives to innovate and push progress forward; a dynamic that the artwork sought to echo.
Artpoint proposed a collaborative artwork by artist Luke Conroy, designed as a visual journey into the nano-scale. Enriched with photographs, archives, and scientific objects, the animated collage highlights the core pillars of C2N: sustainability as a driver of responsible innovation, the diversity of its 46 nationalities, research ethics dedicated to the common good, as well as the creativity and cutting-edge engineering that power its teams. A sensitive and emblematic piece, this creation pays tribute to the richness of C2N and its essential role in exploring the nanoscopic world: a contemplative journey that reveals the hidden poetry of the technologies, equipment, and gestures that shape the life of the center.
